It was after a vacation in the Mount Washington Valley in the summer of 1990 that I decided this was where I had to live. I was living in Center City Philadelphia, and I longed to be in these beautiful mountains with clean air, fresh water, and clear starry skies. I couldn’t wait to make Mount Washington Valley my home.

In the spring of 1991, I packed up everything and moved here from Philly with my beautiful fluffy cat Sky. It was the best decision I ever made! Living here is everything I imagined it would be and more. Besides having all the amenities of a four-season resort area, including fine restaurants and shops, Mt. Washington Valley is a wonderful, caring community. It took me no time at all to meet new people, make new friends and get into the groove of being a “local”.

After a while, I met and married my husband, Bert Weiss. We have lived with – at different times – 4 large dogs, five cats, and several uninvited mice (comes with the territory).

Since my nephews had been visiting me here since they were little kids, they also came to love Mount Washington Valley and they have both moved here too. Next, we are trying to get their parents (my brother & sister-in-law) to buy property here also! My sister, I’m afraid, is a lost cause though. She lives in Jamaica (West Indies) and she’ll never leave there.

I love cross-country skiing with my dogs. Being outdoors in the beautiful winter snow, on a quiet back country trail is one of life’s biggest stress-relievers. I also love kayaking. I used to be an avid whitewater paddler, but these days, I prefer the quiet lakes.

I’m also a fervent theatre-goer, both here in our community and on trips to Broadway. That’s another one of my passions. Ask me about almost any Broadway musical, and I bet I’ll be able to tell you something about it.

This is a fabulous place to live or simply visit, surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest, with dozens of downhill and cross country ski areas, thousands of hiking trails and a multitude of lakes and streams. It’s only 1-1/2 hours from Portland, ME and the beautiful Maine coast.

I have been on the Boards of the Conway Area Humane Society (12 years), and the Mount Washington Valley Theatre Company, a summer stock company (5 years). In fact, you may even have seen me on stage myself! I also served on the Board of the White Mountains Jazz and Blues Festival (3 years). Right now, I’m currently on an advisory committee for Mountain Top Music.

People really care about one another in this community, Mt. Washington Valley, which I call home. I reside in the lovely town of Chatham, NH, which is on the Maine border, a town of just slightly over 300 people! I live with my husband and our black lab, Molly.

After working for the local radio station, WMWV, I came to understand that if I could sell “air”, I surely could sell a house, and make money doing so! I always did well in sales and I always liked looking at houses, and so I began my career in Real Estate. In 1998 I joined Prudential Joy Tarbell Realty, then became Joy’s partner in 2005. We ultimately joined Keller Williams in 2015.

With over 22 years of experience, I have a well trained eye for what makes a house a home. I understand good craftsmanship, construction, materials, and what features are important at this time.

I learned from the best in the business, and every day I continue to grow and learn.
